Cross-curricular Extension Activity: Language and the Arts
The Air We Breathe - A Concept Collage
Create a collage of images all related in some way to the theme - the air we breathe. Try to include images of instances where we might breathe recycled air. Images can be drawn by hand, cut out from magazines, taken with a digital camera, culled from clipart collections, or downloaded from the Internet. (Be sure to check the copyright notice for permitted uses for images you download).
Be prepared to explain:
- Why you chose the images.
- Why you arranged the images as you did, identifying the elements and principles of design that you used.
- How the images are connected to the theme.
